Job Description:

The University of Florida’s Talent Acquisition & Onboarding office seeks to add a collaborative, strategic, and engaging talent acquisition professional to the Strategic Talent Group (STG), the University’s internal executive search team. The Strategic Talent Group focuses on service excellence when developing talent acquisition strategies, networking, and engaging top talent to fill key university leadership positions. Your Role: 

In this position, you will serve as an executive talent consultant who plays a pivotal role in the ongoing growth and success of the University of Florida. Talent consultants create competitive recruitment strategies while identifying and engaging passive candidates in a highly competitive executive talent market. Talent Consultants function collaboratively with a team of experts during full-cycle searches and consultative meetings.

The Talent Consultant position allows for a hybrid remote work schedule and flexibility when such arrangements benefit both the organization and employees. 

The responsibilities associated with this position will include but are not limited to: 

  • Provide full-cycle talent acquisition services for executive and hard to fill roles; utilizing creative strategies for sourcing passive candidates, creating evaluation criteria, scheduling interviews, managing search logistics, and hosting in person interviews. 

  • Coach and guide hiring authorities, search chairs, panels, and committees regarding best and practices in recruiting and hiring.  

  • Source for top talent and develops talent pipelines through proactive relationship building and networking.   

  • Create training documents and resources and facilitate training and education on best practices in hiring. 

  • Engage talent platforms, such as LinkedIn Recruiter, to develop and implement compelling strategies that engage a broad audience. 

  • Support campus partners with search related tasks including managing candidate pipelines and inquiries, building interview itineraries, and hosting campus finalists. 

  • Lead and participate in broader Talent Acquisition & Onboarding strategic programs or initiatives that advance the use of best practices to engage and attract top talent for the UF Community.  

  • Facilitate information sessions, attend events, and coordinate events to build the University of Florida’s visibility as an employer of choice.

Expected Salary:

$54,000

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of appropriate experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.  

  • Strong experience sourcing top talent in and across disciplines and levels in Higher Education 

  • Experience in public speaking 

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. 

  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities, tasks, resources, and time. 

  • Maintain professional behavior, dress, and demeanor when engaging with campus partners, visitors, customers, and the public.
