Job Description:

Scheduling/Staffing: Establish staffing requirement for technical crew, patron services employees and volunteers for events across all UFPA facilities in collaboration with technical department leads. Coordinate, schedule, and assign all event crew and volunteers as well as all day-to-day labor. Communicate daily/weekly work assignments to all event personnel, and to their supervisors. Maintain up-to-date personnel records necessary for assigning event personnel. Maintain labor scheduling system, shiftboard, for management and support of personnel scheduling. 

Payroll: Daily payroll reporting: Track hours worked by event personnel and assist with reporting for event expense tracking and reporting.

Patron Services/FOH Direct Management of the Patron Services Coordinator and OPS employees as well as volunteers working within patron services activities. With the support of the Patron Services Coordinator, provide oversight for the volunteer department, Head Ushers and receptionists including recruitment, training, scheduling, and engagement events. Provide coverage for any FOH position as needed.

Other tasks deemed necessary by supervisor, including occasional assignment as manager-on-duty for events on site: 

Expected Salary:

$48,000-$52,000 commensurate with experience

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors degree and two years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma and six years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in appropriate domain, for example event management, or performing arts production.

Management/leadership experience, including for performing arts events, and/or event management and planning. Proficiency with computers and basic software applications such as Windows and the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel. Inclusive, positive communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written), including comfort with public speaking, presentations, and leading meetings and group training. Ability to identify and resolve problems efficiently and effectively. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and to handle an array of concurrent projects or tasks, shifting attention as needed. Customer service experience and familiarity with event services and venue management, informed by a commitment to inclusive, welcoming engagement and support. Ability to work collegially, supportively, and collaboratively as a member of a diverse team. Capacity to understand, interpret, and apply UF and UFPA rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
