Job Description:

Plans and executes initiatives that align with the Center’s strategic priorities to advance career development and opportunities for students. Leads the university-wide program, Gator Launch, powered by Suitable, and manages the experiential learning module within Gators for Good, powered by GivePulse. Work collaboratively with all aspects of the Center and larger portfolio to evaluate and disseminate system information to appropriate constituents; make recommendations to improve services and efficiencies through technology. Develops outreach and communication plans to increase awareness of assigned educational technology and tools on campus. Creates materials to leverage scalable tools and services for all campus stakeholders, including activities and lesson plans for infusing career development into the curriculum. Coordinates the implementation of system updates, faculty and staff training, and launching new system enhancements.

Track, report, and communicate outcomes and project statuses to stakeholders, including students, alumni, faculty/staff, and employers. Research, analyze, and seek resources to resolve issues that impede project progress. Manages vendor relationship with assigned technology ensuring implementation of system updates and system usage best practices. Aids in maintaining quantitative and qualitative records for various types of interactions for assessment and reporting purposes to demonstrate impact. Manages database systems and tracking documents to maintain records of assigned scalable services usage. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of career development trends and best practices.

Provides individual and group career planning services to all University of Florida students. Develops programming associated with “Career Planning on Your Own” tools and related topics in support of the center’s strategic plan. Engages with campus partners (i.e. alumni, staff, faculty, employers, families) to promote career readiness tools and skills-based programming. Develops programming associated with career readiness tools and related topics in support of the center’s strategic plan. Creates targeted messaging and marketing to students and campus partners about assigned tools.

Performs other administrative duties as assigned by the Associate Director and higher authorities in the department and division.  Attends staff meetings and one-on-one supervision meetings to ensure clear communication with colleagues and supervisors. Participates in department, division and university-wide committees. Potentially supervises interns, or student assistants. May have indirect impact on the position duties of other Center staff members.  Track, report and communicate outcomes of projects to various Center stakeholders including students, alumni, faculty/staff, and employers. Lives out Center’s values in all aspects of job function.

 

Expected Salary: $60,000 - $62,000
Minimum Requirements:

Master's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

 Master’s degree in counselor education, career counseling, student personnel, or human resources (HR)

- Two (2) years of experience in career development, career counseling, or HR
- Experience working with diverse college student populations

Knowledge of career services, campus marketing, and outreach strategies
