A full-time Laboratory Technician is needed in Dr. Mark Moehle's lab in the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics, University of Florida College of Medicine.
This OPS technician position is needed to work on exciting projects to understand the
physiological changes that underlie the motor and non-motor symptoms of movement disorders. This
position is ideal for someone looking to attend medical/dental/graduate school in the next 1-2 years to
build their research experience and resume. Candidates will be presented with career and research
development opportunities.
Job duties to include:
Working with rodent models of neurological disorders in behavioral assays
Performing biochemical and histological assays
Performing surgical procedures

Preferred Qualifications: |
Strong attention to detail, excellent recordkeeping, and ability to follow instructions with a good work ethic.
Prior laboratory experience is preferred but not required.
Ability to work well in a collaborative team-based environment.
Ability to multi-task and self-organize.
