Job Description:
  • Manages the implementation and maintenance of the CAREWare data collection software system and prepares reports to assess the impact of Ryan White funds.
  • Manages processes to ensure data integrity via appropriate data protocols i.e. performing data quality checks, compliance reporting, querying for missing data.
  • Investigates and resolves data, reporting and system inconsistencies as they occur in coordination with program staff. Meets regularly with the staff and management to discuss data issues and status.
  • Provides data to support continuous improvement of internal operations. Prepares
    monthly and quarterly reports for distribution; develops ad hoc reports as requested. Prepares reports for local, state, and federal authorities and helps ensure compliance with funder and government requirements.
  • Downloads CAREWare data as scheduled or needed. Reviews and corrects data that appears inconsistent or erroneous. Reconciles data entered with generated reports. Backs-up and transfers data files according to appropriate format.
  • Manages the CAREWare portion of the annual HRSA RSR process. Troubleshoots data issues during RSR process and at process completion, interfaces with HRSA regarding feedback concerning missing/unknown data. Takes the lead on reviewing and working to improve program RSR data through the implementation of a 6-month data review to identify and correct problems in preparation for the annual RSR.
  • Serves as liaison with outside agencies, service providers, software vendors and IT staff on data entry and programmatic reporting needs.
  • Develops and implements work flow, data entry, collection and reporting procedures.
  • Provides supervision, orientation, and training of program staff in CAREWare usage. Adds/deletes users in CAREWare as needed.
Expected Salary:

$70,000 to $105,000 annually depending on education and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree and three years of appropriate experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Administration, Health Informatics, or in a computer-related field such as Computer Science and/or Management Information Systems.
  • Three years of experience working with CAREWare from front-end to back-end. 
  • Two years of experience in medical office or clinic.
