Job Description:

The University of Florida Pet Emergency Treatment Services (UF PETS) is seeking a self-motivated and compassionate client service representative to become part of our team. The client service representative is responsible for providing excellent customer service and maintaining front of house duties.
A successful applicant should enjoy learning new things and can quickly adapt to a changing environment. A person in this position must be able to develop friendly, professional relationships and maintain a positive attitude throughout all interactions.

This position is considered essential personnel and requires a post-offer health assessment.

Expected Salary:

$17.00 – $20.00; Competitive salary based on education and experience

Minimum Requirements:

Veterinary Client Service Representative I
High school diploma or equivalent and one year relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Veterinary Client Service Representative II
High school diploma or equivalent and three years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Past experience working in a veterinary hospital
• Proficiency with basic computer functions and ability to quickly learn new programs.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations involving money
• Good communication skills, both verbally (telephone and person-to-person); as well as good literacy skills (ability to read and compose grammatically correct sentences)

This is a CARE position offering limited benefits, including health insurance and paid time off.  When appropriate certifications are achieved, promotional opportunities to a level II title may be available. This position will also become eligible for transition into a TEAMS (staff) salary plan.
