Vet Diag Lab Clinical Pathology Technician I/II (CARE)

The position accurately performs a variety of routine biological and chemical test procedures on blood, urine and other body fluids and tissues, from clinical and research animals. Procedures are performed in the hematology, chemistry, endocrinology, urinalysis and cytology laboratories, Performs preventive maintenance and quality control on laboratory equipment, Performs quality control on analytical procedures at required intervals and documents QC in the appropriate logs. This position requires a post offer health assessment

VETERINARY DIAGNOSTIC LAB CLINICAL PATHOLOGY TECHNICIAN I
Associate’s degree in a biological/chemical/veterinary field and one year of experience working in a laboratory; or a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience working in a laboratory.

VETERINARY DIAGNOSTIC LAB CLINICAL PATHOLOGY TECHNICIAN II
Bachelor’s degree in a biological/chemical/veterinary field and one year of laboratory experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and five years of laboratory experience.

BS in clinical laboratory sciences/Biology and one year of experience.

This is a CARE position offering limited benefits, including health insurance and paid time off.  When appropriate certifications are achieved, promotional opportunities to a level II title may be available. This position will also become eligible for transition into a TEAMS (staff) salary plan.
