Job Description:

The Department of Radiology at the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville seeks a full-time fellowship-trained Vascular and Interventional Radiologist. This is a non-tenure accruing position at the rank of Assistant, Associate Professor.  Candidates must be Board Certified / Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology. The successful candidate will be fellowship trained in Vascular and Interventional Radiology.  The candidate should be a team player and expect to join a pleasant group of colleagues.  The section consists of five full time fellowship trained interventional radiologists.  The group is expanding because of growth.

UF Health – Jacksonville is the only university-based academic practice in Northeast Florida.  We are subspecialized across the department.  An internal-moonlighting evening shift is available for qualified faculty.

UF Health Jacksonville serves the premier level-1 trauma center in Northeast Florida.  The VIR faculty perform complex arterial and non-arterial work including thoracic and abdominal imaged-guided procedures.  UF Health is a comprehensive stroke center and our team shares stroke intervention call with the neurosurgery department.  The team also provides coverage for the UF North hospital - a state-of-the-art inpatient and outpatient medical complex with a 24/7 full-service emergency room, outpatient surgery, occupational medicine, a birth center, advanced imaging and other diagnostic services with an inpatient tower.  UF Health North is the only hospital in North Jacksonville, providing services for residents of northern Duval County, Nassau County and Southeast Georgia.

Responsibilities  

  • Provide high quality service in a friendly academic setting.
  • Serve as a mentor to VIR fellows and residents.  Our program has Direct Pathway and ESIR trainees and 7 residents per year.
  • Research team is available to faculty interested in pursuing scholarly activity.
  • Work with colleagues in surgery, cardiology, nephrology, gastroenterology, medical oncology, radiation oncology & pathology, via daily interactions/multidisciplinary meetings.

Expected Salary:

Salary is negotiable; commensurate with experience and qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Candidate must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostics Radiology . Fellowshipped trained in Vascular and Interventional Radiology.
