Job Description: |
The Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville (UFCOM) is seeking up to a full-time Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor at the non-tenure accruing level.
Our departmental model incorporates the best aspects of both academic and private practices. For those with interest in the intellectually stimulating aspects of academia such as resident education, producing scholarly activity, and being involved in clinical research, the UF Health Main Campus provides those opportunities in abundance. Our main campus is a major training site, with service lines including cardiothoracic, high-risk obstetrics, neurosurgery, and level I trauma care. Meanwhile, our UF North Hospital is a community model, and mixes solo practice with medical direction. Regardless of location, our goal is for workdays to be productive and FUN, not a grind.
Our physicians, CRNAs, CAAs, and residents comprise a collegial, tight-knit group who enjoy working together and value work/life balance. All of us revel in the quality of life here in Northeast Florida and want to ensure that we are able to fully partake in it! We work hard and diligently, but we don't overwork anyone. Also, we take care to personally support each other inside and outside of the workplace. Relationships with other services and staff members in the health system are mutually respectful and pleasant-we are all "on the same team" and consequently work well together, with minimal conflict.
Experienced physicians as well as recent graduates will be considered. We have a specific need for OB and cardiac trained physicians, but we welcome applicants of all backgrounds, including generalists. Primary practice location is negotiable depending on departmental needs/availability. Academic rank will be Assistant, Associate or Full Professor, depending on applicants' experience.
With more than 6,200 faculty and staff, UF Health in Jacksonville is the largest UF campus outside of Gainesville. UF Health physicians offer primary care and specialty services in practices throughout Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia, tallying more than 650,000 outpatient visits and more than 40,000 inpatient admissions annually.
