As consultants, the Family Medicine providers will manage the medical needs of the patients working with the PM&R providers to optimize patient care. The typical patient population will need management of hypertension, diabetes, Infections, pneumonia, Skin /wound infections, etc. The consultants will work with PM&R residents and attendings to optimize patient care. They will assist in resident education regarding the management of common medical issues seen in an acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital. The successful candidate must be an MD or DO board-eligible/certified Family Medicine Physician with strong clinical and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to academic medicine, including resident and medical student teaching.
