| The Student Health Care Center at The University of Florida within the Department of Community Health and Family Medicine (CHFM) is seeking a Medical Assistant for its ambulatory clinic. The primary responsibilities will include assisting healthcare professionals in examining and treating ambulatory patients. This involves preparing patients for treatment, conducting basic laboratory tests, and performing electrocardiograms. You'll also play a crucial role in post-treatment care, ensuring patient comfort and well-being. Additionally, you'll be responsible for Point-of-Care testing as directed, maintaining the clinic's cleanliness, and sterilizing surgical instruments. As a CMA, you'll collaborate with Registered Nurses (RNs) to obtain vital signs, conduct visual screenings, measure heights and weights, and perform peak flow readings. Your support will extend to assisting clinicians during special procedures and examinations, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the clinic's operations. |
