The University of Florida Veterinary Hospitals is seeking a motivated and creative Marketing and Outreach Assistant to join its team. Job Duties Include: 1. Content Development: The assistant will be responsible for creating valuable content that highlights the services offered by the University of Florida Veterinary Hospitals. This includes writing and editing materials for newsletters, websites, and social media platforms. The role requires interacting with staff, clients, and patients to gather stories, testimonials, and information for content that resonates with the target audience. The successful candidate will have strong writing and editing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to present content in an engaging and effective manner.
2. Outreach: The assistant will support relationship-building efforts with referring veterinarians by helping develop communications, fulfilling information and material requests, and coordinating annual appreciation campaigns. This role requires excellent communication skills, initiative, and a working knowledge of the veterinary industry.
3. Event Planning and Coordination: Responsibilities include assisting with event logistics such as promoting events, coordinating invitations, preparing event materials (programs, name badges, etc.), monitoring budgets and expenses, and ensuring that events are executed smoothly. The assistant will manage event registration, work with vendors, and maintain event timelines. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential.
Schedule: This position involves up to 20 hours per week during regular business hours, generally Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with occasional evening and weekend availability required for events.
