Job Description: |
The research assistant will perform assignments related to various ongoing research and evaluation tasks across different projects and grants. Key responsibilities include: assisting researchers under general supervision by performing a variety of scientific tasks.
- Independently conducts a wide array of standard research methods, tasks, and procedures
- Assists social and health science researchers by collecting data and analyzing data
- May provide interpretation and initial analysis of results
- May assist in designing studies to complete a segment of overall research plan
- Demonstrates some ability to use judgement when necessary to adapt standard methods practices
- Submits tasks on time for supervisor or other designee
- Should be comfortable using Microsoft Office Software
- This position will require travel across the state for program related activities
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
This is a full-time position for 40 hours per week. Shifts are typically Monday through Friday, 8 am – 5 pm. This position will require occasional evening, early morning, and weekend hours due to the nature of the program.

Expected Salary: |
$21.00 /hr commensurate with education and experience
|
Required Qualifications: |
A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid driver’s license and reliable daily transportation for business travel required.
Section 435 Background check required.

Preferred: |
Candidates should have demonstrated skills in verbal and written communication. Some knowledge and experience with data analysis software is preferable.
