Job Description:

The UF Health Cancer Center is the 72nd NCI designated cancer center and the only one at a public university in the State of Florida. As a matrix cancer center, we span 14 of the University of Florida's 16 colleges, pulling together a world-class, multi-disciplinary membership of over 350 faculty and 150 staff to address the challenges of the cancer burden faced by the population we serve as we work together to find a cure. 

As an OPS Mobile Clinic Program Assistant at the UF Health Cancer Center (UFHCC), you will play a vital role in supporting the operations of the UF Health Mobile Cancer Screening Unit. On behalf of the UFHCC Office of Community Outreach & Engagement (COE), the Mobile Clinic Program Assistant will ensure efficient daily operations, smooth coordination of mobile screening events, and a seamless experience for patients and partners served by the program.

In your new role, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Serve as the primary administrative and patient-access contact for the UF Health Mobile Cancer Screening Unit, managing inquiries, scheduling, Epic intake, insurance verification, and pre-visit instructions.
  • Coordinate all mobile screening event logistics, including staff scheduling, site arrangements, vehicle travel, and on-site operational support for clinical and research teams.
  • Ensure unit readiness, safety, and compliance through regular inspections, inventory management, and coordination of maintenance, licensure, and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and procurement documentation, supporting program accountability and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Mobile Practice Manager and Clinical Navigators to enhance workflow efficiency, resolve patient issues, and support continuous program improvement.

This is an administrative support position, ideal for candidates with experience in healthcare coordination, mobile clinic operations, or community outreach. A complete job description will be provided to candidates selected for interview.

Expected Salary:

$18.00 - $21.00 hourly

Required Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in an appropriate area; or a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of related experience.

Valid Florida Issued Class E Driver’s License

Preferred:

Knowledge / Experience:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in administrative, clinical coordination, or operations support, preferably in healthcare, mobile clinic, or outreach settings.
  • Experience using electronic health record systems (Epic preferred) and familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Experience with patient navigation, health equity programming, or serving underserved populations.
  • Background in mobile health services, radiology, laboratory, or ambulatory clinic operations.
  • Familiarity with UF Health systems, workflows, and policies.

  • Valid Florida driver’s license and compliance with UF Health driving eligibility requirements.
