Job Description:

UF Advancement is seeking a forward-thinking Lead Data Solutions Analyst to elevate our data strategy and integration capabilities. In this pivotal role, you will design and implement scalable solutions that ensure the accuracy, integrity, and seamless flow of data across our CRM and enterprise systems. Reporting to the Executive Director of Development Information Systems, you will lead efforts that directly support fundraising, alumni engagement, and strategic planning – making your work essential to the success of UF’s philanthropic mission. Data Integration Architect

  • Develop comprehensive data integration strategies and solutions to meet the organization's business requirements and objectives.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data integration architecture, ensuring it aligns with enterprise standards and best practices.
  • Assist with analyzing current processes and procedures to create future configurations which lead to gains in efficiency and cost savings.
  • Ensure seamless integration and interoperability of disparate systems, databases, and applications, including cloud-based and on-premise environments.
  • Provide training and technical guidance to other DIS team members, ensuring proper use of data integration solutions and adherence to best practices.
  •  Create and maintain detailed documentation for integration processes, workflows, and system architecture to ensure transparency and knowledge transfer.

Data Integration

  • Implement processes and logic to extract, transform, and distribute data across one or more data stores from a wide variety of sources.
  • Work with Analysts and Business Users to translate functional specifications into technical designs for implementation and deployment.
  • Develop technical documentation which includes designs, workflows, processes, and version control.
  • Create and use Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to integrate data across systems using established rules of data governance.
  • Make data governance recommendations based on analysis and testing of current state.
  • Assist with troubleshooting current processes.

Data Integrity

  • Work with administrative employees to flag data integrity issues for manual correction.
  • Collaborate with appropriate stakeholders to make any necessary changes to business processes.
  • Create data that satisfy the needs of the requestors, presenting data for different users and functions.
  • Perform routine uploading and downloading of data.
  • Complete ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Strategic Leadership & Support

  • Supervise technical personnel working on data integration strategies and solutions.
  • Oversee programs, staff, and resources, delegate duties, serve as a mentor, certify time and attendance, and oversee performance management, using annual appraisal and performance action.
  • Participate as a subject matter expert in committee meetings related to the CRM architecture.
  • Assist in goal-setting and long-term strategic planning for the acquisition, evaluation, and allocation of resources and participate in department activities and professional development. Be willing to travel out-of-town for advanced training as needed.
  • Research industry standards, trends, breakthroughs, and best practices and implement changes accordingly in order to maintain competitiveness among peers and to meet goals and objectives as determined by the strategic plan.
Expected Salary:

$95,000-$105,000; commensurate with education and experience.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Preferred Qualifications: 

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • At least five years progressively responsible programming experience in the Client/Server, Oracle or other relational databases preferred. 
  • Experience building integrations using Snowflake, SnapLogic, and Salesforce.
  • Knowledge of building APIs.
  • Strong logical thinking and analytical skills.  
  • Accuracy, attention to detail and problem-solving skills. 
  • Effective time management and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively and a team player.
  • Incumbent must be able to work independently and is detail oriented. 
  • Customer service experience. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and the capacity to engage effectively and collaboratively with a wide range of individuals are essential.
  • A commitment to and support for workplace inclusion in all its forms; demonstrated success collaborating with stakeholders; strong project management skills; experience in a data-driven environment; excellent organizational abilities; and the capacity to lead, influence, and inspire others are essential.
  • Proficient in the following areas: Windows operating systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access, as well as internet browsers and email platforms. Familiarity donor databases, contact management systems, and tracking systems is also highly preferred.
