Plumber

The University of Florida’s IFAS Facilities Planning & Operations department is seeking a skilled Plumber to maintain and repair plumbing, irrigation, and sanitary systems across IFAS buildings on campus. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing fixtures, valves, circulating pumps, and water, air, gas, and vacuum lines. The ideal candidate can read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings and may occasionally drive to off-site job locations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining and repairing interior and exterior plumbing and irrigation systems.

• Performing maintenance and repairs on sanitary systems, including drains, backflow preventers, emergency eye washes, showers, and irrigation systems.

• Operating electric drain cleaning machines, pipe cutters, and threading equipment.

• Performing other related duties as assigned.

This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects in a dynamic campus environment and contribute to the smooth operation of IFAS facilities.

$22 - $26 per hour commensurate with education and experience
