UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking a Senior OnBase Administrator/Technical Lead to join Applications, Development, and Integrations (ADI), a unit within UFIT. UF Information Technology (UFIT) enables teaching, learning, research, and service on campus and across the region with state-of-the-art enterprise IT systems, including SEC and SUS universities, and the opportunity to teach using HiPerGator. ADI maintains and operates the software that powers UF’s enterprise-wide computer systems creating the technological foundation for the campus’ academic and administrative business functions.
This position is instrumental in the development and support of enterprise content management solutions for 16 colleges and multiple administrative areas across campus and the state – potentially impacting 70,000+ customers daily. As the technical lead of the UFIT Enterprise Content Management team, the incumbent must demonstrate excellent communications and OnBase technical expertise, as well as a high-level of leadership, creativity, business process comprehension, analytical skills, and teamwork.
Some key responsibilities and characteristics of this position are:
- SOLUTION DESIGN/ARCHITECTURE/DEVELOPMENT: Lead team members and stakeholders to elicit requirements, design, and develop large and complex content management solutions utilizing the capabilities of Hyland OnBase, including workflow, WorkView, Unity Forms, Unity Scripts, scheduled processes, and various integrations with other systems (including the OnBase API).
- TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP, TRAINING, AND MENTORSHIP: Train and mentor the ECM team in OnBase capabilities and best practices for content management solutions. Develop and enforce standards, security, policies, and procedures related to development, testing, and change management processes for ECM solutions. Utilize classroom training sessions, one-on-one sessions, written materials, videos or other appropriate means to advance the skills of the team.
- SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION AND MAINTENANCE: Administer, configure, secure, and maintain the OnBase content management system. Recommend and/or establish processes and guidelines to reduce risk and streamline system upgrades, as well as environment creation and database refreshes. Lead remediation of vulnerabilities, coordinating with other teams and Hyland as needed.
- PROJECT MANAGEMENT. Serve as the project manager for selected ECM projects, including planning and communications (such as project plans, requirements documentation, design specifications, action plans, timelines, SOWs, MOUs, and progress updates); coordinating the efforts of teammates and other project participants; and overseeing testing, quality assurance, and deployment.
- CUSTOMER SUPPORT: Coordinate with team members, customers, Hyland Support, and other UFIT staff to troubleshoot, document, and resolve highly complex issues and incidents.

The ideal candidate will be a senior-level OnBase administrator with the following education, experience, and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, information systems, computer engineering, or other relevant field.
- Hyland certified in OnBase System Administration, Workflow Administration, WorkView Administration, and API/Developer Specialist. OnBase architecture subject matter expert.
- 8+ years of experience in on-premises OnBase application and server administration (including upgrades and environment refreshes), plus the analysis, design, development, deployment, and support of complex enterprise-level OnBase processes using Unity forms, workflow, WorkView, Unity scripts, REST API, and real-time and batch integrations with other applications. This includes expertise in the OnBase database and architecture, SQL, scripting, data analysis and transformation, and system and security audits.
- 6+ years of experience managing large IT projects, leading development teams, and providing OnBase customer support for complex issues. Proven track record of leading collegially and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical staff and stakeholders. Ability to work collaboratively and build strategic relationships.
- 5+ years of experience in software development, as well as designing, developing, and supporting enterprise business applications within higher education utilizing OnBase. This includes excellent written and verbal communication skills and producing clear technical, end-user, and systems documentation.
- 2+ years of experience in DocuSign administration
