Job Description:

Deliver dynamic messages that inspire prospective students to pursue with the right online program to transform their lives. The Marketing and Admissions Support Team within the Office of Teaching and Technology team offers marketing and enrollment services for various online undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs that cater to students from all over Florida and the world. As part of this growing team, you will guide automated communications campaigns, including email and SMS outreach,  from planning to implementation to reporting, driving recruitment success for our diverse clients and working closely with a talented team of marketing and communication professionals.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Operational Services, the Marketing Automation Specialist is responsible for centrally managing all Marketing and Admissions Support communications and automation efforts. This role oversees the planning, execution, and performance of email and SMS campaigns, drip sequences, and A/B testing strategies to optimize engagement and conversion. The specialist manages the communications calendar and ensures all messaging aligns with brand guidelines, advertising campaigns, and partner objectives.

Key responsibilities include integration with social media platforms to support cross-channel engagement, processing and tracking the online Request for Information (RFI) form submissions and coordinating with online advertising initiatives to ensure seamless lead capture and campaign alignment. The position uses Salesforce and Pardot to organize workflows, review analytics, maintain lead scoring models, and continually refine automation processes that drive student recruitment and program awareness.

Conceptualize, Design, and Execute Marketing Automation Strategy  
Lead the development, execution, and optimization of marketing automation strategies across multiple platforms. Design and deploy segmented, personalized communication campaigns including drip campaigns, newsletters, and essential student communications using Salesforce and Pardot. Implement technical aspects - including platform scheduling and video conferencing - for virtual recruitment events. Coordinate automation workflows to support timely RFI form follow-up and lead nurturing tied to online advertising campaigns. Collaborate with UF stakeholders to align messaging with marketing and admissions goals. Integrate social media platform functionality to support cross-channel engagement and ensure campaigns align with the university’s brand standards and guidelines from central Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing.

Ensure Brand Consistency and Optimize Messaging
Create and maintain strategic communication maps that outline content flow for key audiences. Ensure all communications—internal and external—maintain a consistent voice, tone, and brand alignment. Work proactively to refine messaging and identify opportunities to enhance clarity, personalization, and engagement across platforms.

Analyze Performance and Recommend Improvements
Conduct research on communication trends and competitor strategies to inform improvements. Perform A/B testing and analyze campaign performance using engagement metrics and lead behavior insights. Provide data-informed recommendations for campaign refinements and system enhancements to the leadership team, and Salesforce Solution Architect. Support improvements in marketing technology and communication processes to increase efficiency and conversion rates.

Other Duties as Assigned
Provide additional support as needed to advance the unit’s goals and assist in special projects related to marketing automation, enrollment communications, and digital campaign management.

 

Expected Salary: $78,000-$82,000
Preferred:

Two years of experience in designing/deploying marketing automation strategies utilizing a CRM platform.
