Classification Minimum Requirements

Applicants must be enrolled as current UF students for the Fall 2025/Spring 2026 semester and throughout the applicant’s term(s) of employment.
Students must be able to work 15 – 20 hours per week minimum; Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. With the ability to sign up for after-hours events. No exceptions.
Commitment to working a minimum of two days per week.
Provide documentation of their Federal Work Study award.
Maintain a 2.5 cumulative G.P.A.
Be in good academic and disciplinary standing with the University with no repeated violations of the University Code of Student Conduct.
Have comfortability with Microsoft suite.

Job Description:

Established in 2022, the Hamilton School is a multidisciplinary academic unit whose purpose is to support teaching and research concerning the ideas, traditions, and texts that shape Western civilization and American values and institutions. The Hamilton School also aims to promote civil discourse and the ethics of citizenship, and to prepare students to see past their horizons and prepare for a lifetime of leadership and meaningful careers.

Hamilton seeks to fill Federal Work-Study Student Assistant positions for a variety of duties including, but not limited to:

  • Greeting and directing visitors at reception
  • Assisting with correspondence (written, verbal, electronic)
  • Assisting with coordination for events, activities, programs, etc.
  • Handling and processing of mail/packages/office materials and supplies
  • Assisting with paperwork management and other documentation (copying, scanning, filing, disposal)
  • Completing data entry and various tasks in the Microsoft suite
  • Keeping the workspace tidy and presentable; monitor inventory of supplies
  • Researching and compiling materials for courses
  • Tabling on behalf of Hamilton at campus events (ex. Preview, Study Abroad Fair, etc.)
  • Liaising for Hamilton School across campus (social, academic, extracurricular, etc.)
  • Performing other duties as assigned
Expected Salary:

$14 per hour

Required Qualifications:

Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft suite (especially Word and Excel)
