Job Description:

Responsible for the administration of a multi-university research consortium focused on international security and statecraft. This includes acting as a liaison between universities and their constituents, as well as managing the budget and expenditures for this research consortium.  It also entails managing the advertising, application, and selection process for multiple pre-doctoral and post-doctoral fellows; organizing several academic conferences and policy workshops each year; building and maintaining the consortium alumni network and activities; grant-writing for consortium fundraising; managing consortium website and social media content; and promoting consortium initiatives with academic and policy leaders.

Responsible for the administration of professional development programs for undergraduates. This includes organizing and running the professional development programs, as well as measuring and analyzing outcomes from them. It also includes marketing the programs and recruiting and selecting new undergraduate participants; researching and developing new programs and opportunities for students; arranging guest speaker events; and meeting with and mentoring students.

Responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of various study abroad programs including proposal writing. This includes working with UFIC to design, implement and manage these programs, as well as doing advance work to plan the programs and then running them on-site. Assists in the development of curriculum and assists in the teaching and administration of program courses as needed. This will include developing templates for the courses, creating outlines, and completing assessments and activities.  Develops and administers program policies and procedures. 

Responsible for assistance with grant-writing and serves as the liaison between the University and philanthropic foundations and individual donors. This includes writing the grants and submitting them to foundations. It also includes stewardship with both philanthropic foundations and individual donors, and management of reporting responsibilities to donors and foundations.

Responsible for managing academic and professional development conferences. This includes arranging transportation, setting the schedule, administering the conference, drafting budgets and managing expenditures. It also includes liaison and travel bookings for conference guest speakers, and advertising and promotion of conferences to attendees and constituents.

Expected Salary:

Commensurate with education and experience.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred

M.A. in public policy, international relations, or related field. Candidates should have at least one year's administrative working at a Carnegie I Research University.

Preferred candidates will have experience working with multi-university consortia, student program development and event management.
