Accountant IV, Financial Reporting

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and six or more years of relevant experience.

The University of Florida's CFO Division is seeking a highly skilled Accountant IV to play a crucial role in the preparation of the University's comprehensive consolidated financial statements and reports. This position will work closely with the Assistant Director to ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of the University's complex financial reporting requirements. Specific duties include:

Financial Reporting:

• Assist Assistant Director in preparing University's Annual Financial Reports
• Create detailed annual work plans and track critical financial activities
• Compile financial information for Component Units
• Implement and maintain rigorous financial reporting controls

Technical Expertise:

• Navigate intricate governmental accounting standards (GASB, NACUBO) & State of Florida regulations
• Prepare comprehensive annual financial reports with precision
• Develop robust audit trails and financial documentation
• Analyze and interpret emerging accounting regulations
• Coordinate multi-dimensional financial reporting processes

Component Unit Liaison:

• Serve as central contact for CFO Division requests
• Develop meaningful financial metrics for leadership

Audit Liaison:

• Interface with internal and external auditors
• Coordinate comprehensive audit response processes
• Ensure timely and accurate audit documentation

Special Projects:

• Performs a variety of special projects as needed

$85,000 - $95,000

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and six or more years of relevant experience.

Experience using PeopleSoft and/or Workday Financial systems

Experience with internal and external audit activities and management of audits across financial reporting

Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance discipline
