The Office of Admissions is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Admissions Officer I to join our Applicant Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing applications for undergraduate, graduate, professional, and certificate programs, ensuring a smooth admissions process for student applicants.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Applicant Support
- Serve as a primary point of contact for the Office of Admissions call center by answering phone calls, responding to email inquiries, and managing CRM cases from applicants and departments.
- Review and process undergraduate, graduate, professional, and certificate applications.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of majors, degrees, and program levels to ensure efficient application processing.
- Determine residency classification for tuition purposes based on Florida's Residency Rules and Regulations.
- Finalize admitted student applications, review credentials, manage holds, and evaluate hold deferral requests.
- Support OneStop staff with escalated admissions inquiries via phone, email, or in person.
Applicant Data Management
- Manage application data in Slate and ensure accurate integration with Campus Solutions.
- Create and maintain organization records in the student information system (SIS).
- Ensure synchronization of data between Slate and Campus Solutions, including locations, accreditation, and organization codes.
- Manage departmental requests and troubleshoot data discrepancies in MyAdmissions and SIS systems.
- Address and resolve holds on student accounts.
Additional Duties
- Participate in cross-functional events, committees, call campaigns, and assist in creating reference materials.
- Assist in cross-training applicant services employees.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the supervisor.
This position is located at the University of Florida's main campus in Gainesville, FL. The selected candidate will work on site and may be eligible for a flexible, hybrid work arrangement in accordance with the University of Florida and Division of Enrollment Management's policies.

Expected Salary: |
$43,888 annually
