A Postdoctoral Researcher position is available in the Bowers lab at the University of Florida, Department of Chemistry and National High Magnetic Field Lab, Gainesville. This position, available immediately, is funded by the Institute for Cooperative Upcycling of Plastics (iCOUP), an Energy Frontier Research Center (EFRC) led by the U.S. Department of Energy.
The project focuses on the application of parahydrogen-enhanced nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy as a unique mechanistic probe of polyolefin hydrogenolysis catalysis and related reactions. The research will employ advanced heterogeneous catalyst formulations, synthesized in labs within the iCOUP team, designed for high-performance deconstruction of aliphatic hydrocarbon polymers. This is a full-time on-site role for a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. The Postdoctoral Researcher will be responsible for conducting laboratory experiments, carrying out research activities, analyzing data, and potentially teaching courses related to their field of expertise.

Must have PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related field. This position will be initially awarded for one year, and, contingent upon strong performance and conduct and availability of funds, may be renewed for up to three years.
