Job Description:

The Lab Administration Coordinator II provides advanced administrative support to the Neurocognitive Laboratory and the UF Center for Addiction Research & Education (UF CARE). Responsibilities include fiscal and equipment management, human participant payment administration, seminar coordination, grant tracking, and support for high-level faculty roles.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating daily administrative operations of the lab, including scheduling, communications, purchasing, travel coordination, and maintaining lab equipment.
  • Managing participant payments and human subject protocols to ensure compliance and fiscal accountability.
  • Supporting UF CARE programs by organizing seminars, preparing newsletters, assisting with grants and awards, and maintaining digital content.
  • Acting as liaison between faculty/lab and internal UF departments as well as external agencies.
  • Provides laboratory support and maintains lab opening and closing procedures.
  • May coordinate the employee performance appraisal by sending reminders and providing other administrative support.
  • Processes and provides oversight for travel authorization and expense reports.
  • Provides administrative support such as maintaining calendars and event planning.
Expected Salary:

$24.00 - $25.00 per hour; commensurate with education and experience.

Required Qualifications:

Preferred

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, website editing platforms, and UF systems (myUFL, UFIRST, etc.).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Ability to navigate complex institutional processes.
  • Initiative and sound judgment in decision-making.
  • Familiarity with academic research settings and confidentiality practices.
  • Comfort with public-facing communication, including newsletters and online content.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
