Job Description:
    1. Florida 4-H is seeking a creative and motivated Work Study student to join our team as a Digital Media & Communications Assistant. This role is ideal for students interested in digital marketing, public relations, design, or communications. The selected candidate will play a key role in enhancing the visibility and engagement of the Florida 4-H program through digital platforms. Responsibilities include maintaining and updating our website, creating visually compelling promotional materials, editing short-form videos and social media reels, and writing blogs and press releases that reflect the mission and impact of 4-H.
    2. Key Responsibilities:
      1. Assist in designing, updating, and maintaining content on the Florida 4-H website.
      2. Create engaging digital materials such as flyers, brochures, and graphics using Canva.
      3. Edit and produce social media reels for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
      4. Write blog posts, press releases, and promotional copy that highlight 4-H programs and achievements.
      5. Collaborate with program staff to ensure digital content aligns with branding and outreach goals.
      6. Support other communications and marketing tasks as needed.
    3. Learning Outcomes:
      This position offers hands-on experience in public relations, digital marketing, content creation, and professional writing—ideal for students seeking to build a creative portfolio and expand their communication skills.

 

 

 Advertised Salary:

$13/hour 

Minimum Requirements:
    1. Must be a current student eligible for Federal Work Study.
    2. Experience using Canva or other graphic design tools to create marketing materials.
    3. Basic video editing skills, especially for social media reels
    4. Strong writing and editing skills for blogs, press releases, and web content.
    5. Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation strategies.
    6. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Seeking degree in any communication field
