The University of Florida's Division of Enrollment Management is currently seeking a dedicated Human Resources Specialist II to join the HR team. In this role, you will serve as the primary talent acquisition specialist for recruitment and hiring, responsible for designing and implementing targeted recruitment strategies, sourcing candidates, and ensuring a smooth hiring process. This role will also involve assisting with onboarding, HR transactions, and providing guidance on HR policies and processes.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Collaborate with the HR Manager to design and implement targeted recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
- Craft compelling and accurate job postings that effectively communicate role responsibilities, requirements, and the organization's culture and values.
- Enhance recruitment strategies by maintaining a social media presence and representing the division at job fairs and recruitment events.
- Source candidates via innovative channels, screen applicants, and coordinate comprehensive interview processes.
- Provide expert guidance to department hiring managers and staff throughout the recruitment lifecycle, including assisting in identifying key competencies, developing targeted interview questions, scheduling, and participating in interviews.
- Work closely with department hiring managers and candidates to ensure a smooth and positive candidate experience.
- Ensure timely and effective communication with candidates and hiring managers throughout the hiring process.
HR Operations
- Process HR transactions related to hiring and employee changes, and the records produced and maintained as a result of these transactions.
- Maintain and update electronic personnel action forms (ePAFs) and employee files while coordinating with internal departments and central HR.
- Monitor compliance with organizational and regulatory guidelines through accurate tracking of staff training requirements, probationary periods, and employee check-in processes.
- Collaborate with the HR Manager to stay informed about updates in regulations, compliance standards, process enhancements, enterprise system upgrades, and technological advancements.
- Serve as a consultant to division staff by providing guidance on HR benefits, policies, and processes.
- Update and maintain comprehensive position descriptions for all roles within the organization.
- Ensure that job responsibilities, qualifications, and expectations are accurately documented, consistent with current HR policies and in compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
Other Duties
- Provide analytical support and generate reports that assist management in making informed HR decisions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Expected Salary: |
$65,000 annually
