Job Description:

Lecturer, Anatomical Sciences

This position will teach various courses in different subject areas while utilizing various teaching formats:

  • Traditional, didactic lectures
  • Laboratories
  • Team-based learning (TBL) / small group learning exercises
  • Peer teaching and peer-assisted learning activities
  • Literature-based discussions

Create teaching materials (i.e., lectures, problem sets, laboratory guides, case reports)

Create and analyze exam / quiz questions

Create study resources (reviews guides, review videos, Q&A reviews)

Develop graduate qualifying and exit exams

Facilitate student remediation

Advise students (informal)

Work with course design specialists to improve courses (various courses) – redesign course format and/or materials to increase student learning and satisfaction

Oversee graduate and undergraduate teaching assistants’ (TAs) – determine roles and responsibilities and assist in execution

Conduct longitudinal analysis on student performance in various department courses

Consult educational teaching and learning researchers for development of educational research

Work with Program Directors and Program Assistants in support of educational endeavors.

Expected Salary:

$68,000 annually

Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in Anatomical Sciences or related field; teaching experience in academic environment.

Preferred: Preference will be given to candidates who have significant teaching experience in the specific classes to be taught.
