Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program and four years of professional nursing experience. Licensed as a registered nurse in accordance with Chapter 464, Florida Statutes.
Job Description:
The Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) is seeking a Clinical Research Nurse to assist in the operations of the Clinical Research Vehicle (CRV).
 
Plans and Directs Clinical Research Activities (40%):
  • Review study protocols and develop source documents (e.g., MD orders, research worksheets
  • Collaborate with research teams and medical providers to ensure smooth implementation
  • Oversee participant scheduling and visit approvals.
 
Supervise Clinical Research Staff (30%):
  • Provide guidance and performance evaluations for CRV nursing staff
  • Conduct skills assessments and address practice variances.
 
Policy Implementation and Training (15%):
  • Develop and maintain SOPs in collaboration with leadership
  • Lead training sessions on clinical and research procedures
  •  Ensure compliance with state regulations, including Office Surgery Registration.
 
Resource and Equipment Coordination (10%):
  • Manage medical and research equipment, supplies, and budgeting
  • Ensure all equipment meets research certification standards.
Expected Salary:

$70,000 - $75,000
Required Qualifications:
  • Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program and four years of professional nursing experience.
  • Licensed as a registered nurse in accordance with Chapter 464, Florida Statutes.
Preferred:
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Valid FL RN license (required)
  • ACLS certification (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of nursing principles and clinical research practices
  • Knowledge of basic principles and good clinical practice of clinical research.
  • Experience coordinating clinical research studies.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to a mobile, community-based setting
  • Weekend availability is required for scheduled events and outreach activities.
