Required Qualifications:

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • A bachelor's degree (or will obtain one by May 2025) in family and consumer sciences, nutrition, dietetics, health and wellness, or a related field.
  • A flexible schedule to accommodate community needs.
  • Strong teamwork and independent work ethic.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Resourcefulness, creativity, and a passion for making a difference.
  • Solid organizational and management skills.
  • Comfort and proficiency with technology.
  • A commitment to UF core values and UF/IFAS Extension values.
  • A willingness to serve our community in times of emergency, as UF/IFAS Extension Sumter County faculty are considered essential personnel.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to pass a national background screening.
Preferred
  • A master’s degree is preferred.
  • Accredited Financial Counselor recognition and related professional experience.
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish).
  • Experience in group facilitation and partnership development.
  • Skills in delivering food demonstrations and public classes.
  • Familiarity with webpage design and online educational tools.
  • Experience working with different populations.
  • Experience in creating engaging educational materials for various audiences.

This is not a remote work position

Selected candidate will be required to provide an official transcript to the hiring department upon hire. A transcript will not be considered “official” if a designation of “Issued to Student” is visible.  Degrees earned from an education institution outside of the United States are required to be evaluated by a professional credentialing service provider approved by National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES).
