The Division of Enrollment Management is seeking an experienced Human Resource Manager to oversee the daily operations of our HR department. In this dynamic role, you will manage talent acquisition, lead comprehensive onboarding programs for new hires, provide expert HR guidance, and oversee HR processing. Additionally, you will supervise, coach, and mentor staff to foster professional development and ensure high performance. You will also support strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening our organizational culture, enhancing communication, and improving recruitment and retention efforts.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Team Management
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Division of Enrollment Management’s HR department.
- Provide supervision, coaching, and mentoring to HR staff to enhance their professional development and ensure high performance.
- Collaborate with the director to establish operational goals that align with the division’s strategic plan.
- Ensure all HR processes comply with state and federal regulations, as well as university policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain documentation on internal controls and process guides for the HR team.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Manage the division's talent acquisition, recruitment processes, and strategies.
- Craft compelling and detailed job postings that effectively communicate job responsibilities to prospective candidates.
- Utilize various sourcing techniques, including social media platforms, professional networks, and recruiting events to attract top talent.
- Support hiring managers by managing the full recruitment cycle from initial candidate sourcing and screening to interviewing and selection.
- Collaborate with departmental leaders to understand the specific skills and competencies required for each opening, ensuring the recruitment of the best candidates for the organization.
- Lead the division’s comprehensive onboarding program, ensuring a seamless experience for new hires.
- Collaborate with departmental leaders to provide ongoing support and resources to ensure new employees succeed.
- Conduct the division’s new employee orientation session, providing a robust introduction to the organization’s culture, values, and expectations.
HR Processing
- Oversee the analysis and processing of HR actions, including recruitment, hires, terminations, leave of absence, position updates, and other personnel changes.
- Work with the director to approve Electronic Personnel Action Forms (ePAFs) submitted to UFHR.
- Oversee and ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, addressing any discrepancies promptly to maintain compliance.
- Work with the director and UFHR or Payroll Services to resolve issues related to complex transactions.
Position Description Management
- Responsible for creating, reviewing, and updating comprehensive position descriptions to ensure alignment with organizational goals and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with department leadership to ensure the position descriptions accurately reflect job duties and qualifications.
Strategic Initiatives
- Support the director in leading strategic initiatives that align with and reinforce the division's mission, vision, values, and goals.
- Develop new programs and enhance existing processes to cultivate a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders in the division to identify opportunities, gather requirements, and ensure alignment and successful implementation of initiatives.
- Design and create engaging training sessions for small to medium-sized groups, ensuring participants acquire the necessary skills and knowledge effectively.
Additional Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary consultant to staff by providing advice and guidance on various aspects of HR.
- Investigate and resolve complex issues or employee concerns at the director's request.
- Perform data analysis and prepare reports and/or presentations for leadership.
- Continuously analyze and evaluate HR business processes, implementing improvements to drive continuous quality improvement.
- Stay informed about updates in regulations, compliance standards, process enhancements, enterprise system upgrades, and technological advancements.
- Monitor the effectiveness of human resources policies and recommend revisions or modifications to meet the division's needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the director.

Expected Salary: |
$80,000 annually
