| Job Description: |
Laying out, planting, and harvesting of sugarcane field experiments. Helping in crossing, seed germination tests, seedling transplanting in the lab and in fields. Collecting information for record keeping and for mapping field plots, visual ratings on growth and disease, stalk count, and biomass sampling and milling during harvest season.
Assist scientists in the performance of field and laboratory experiments. Monitor plant growth and development in parental can lines and field research plots to determine treatment effects. Assist in maintaining accurate records and data management for sugarcane experiments.
Keep field plots and sugarcane experiments weed-free, orderly, and under good conditions.
