Job Description:

 

Operations:

  • Assist with all payroll banking tasks including: direct deposit returns, payment cancellations, department deposits, audit of direct deposit changes, and customer service for employee direct deposit questions
  • Assist with payroll tax deposit reconciliations and remittance

 

Analysis:

  • Performs analytics on retroactive payroll data that result from changes to compensation and/or standard hours
  • Run, analyze, review, and follow up on results of various queries of payroll data to provide timely corrections as needed and ensure accuracy

 

Communications and Customer Service:

  • Manage daily interactions with departments and personnel regarding their questions, requests for guidance, and discussions on direct deposits.
  • Collaborate frequently with partners in Banking and Merchant Services for banking processes.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with key University, State, and Federal Agency stakeholders and colleagues to enhance relations and engagement through the distribution of clear and consistent communications.
  • Proactively analyze current processes, recommend solutions to leadership, and support implementation.
  • Ensure that departmental documents and training materials are up to date and meet current standards set by the administration

Technical

  • Prepares and fulfills various biweekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, queries, and requests
  • Assists with ad hoc data requests or data analysis

 

Special Projects:

Other duties as assigned by the department leadership

Expected Salary:

$53,000 - $58,000

Minimum Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

This position must have advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.

 

Familiarity with banking and payroll functions.

 

Ability to work and maintain effective working relationships with others; to understand, interpret, and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures; to analyze and solve problems, interpret and recommend solutions or changes; to effectively communicate in writing and orally; to complete work according to scheduled deadlines; to work with limited supervision; to be reliable, and to work both in a team and independently.to utilize problem solving techniques and to work independently.
