The Division of Enrollment Management is looking for a Business Admin Specialist I to join the Finance Team. In this role, you will provide critical support for the Division's fiscal management and security transactions, as well as assist with various administrative tasks.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Fiscal Management and Processing
- Process financial activities for state, auxiliary, gift/grant, foundation, and concession accounts totaling several million annually.
- Coordinate purchases, travel, expenditure reconciliation, and application/transcript fee processing.
- Input and retrieve information in university financial systems, including requisitions, purchase orders, vendor payments, deposits, travel authorizations, and expense reports.
- Analyze, interpret, and apply relevant policies, and recommend operational improvements when appropriate.
- Maintain financial records and provide periodic reports.
- Assist with developing and justifying operating budget requests.
Administrative Support
- Provide administrative support for the Finance team, serving as primary point of contact.
- Handle document creation and editing and file organization as needed.
- Participate in business process reviews and stay informed of changes.
- Collaborate with team members to address regulatory, compliance, and technology updates.
Security and Access Administration
- Serve as Department Security Administrator, managing myUFL access and roles.
- Review access routinely and certify authorizations.
- Remove access as needed for employee departures.
Other Duties
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
This position is located at the University of Florida's main campus in Gainesville, FL and may be eligible for a flexible, hybrid work arrangement in accordance with the University of Florida and Division of Enrollment Management's policies.

Expected Salary: |
$21 per hour

Preferred Qualifications: |
- At least 2 years post high school relevant work experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Prior experience of PeopleSoft and knowledge of myUFL systems as it relates to fiscal functions.
- Familiarity with the University of Florida myUFL Access Request System.
- General knowledge of and experience with university, state, and federal regulations regarding fiscal, budget, and grants.
- Must be able to work well in a team environment with great interpersonal skills and must understand and practice excellent customer service.
- Should possess critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills, be self-motivated, willing to learn new skills and able to exercise good judgment to work independently.
- Must be organized and possess attention to detail.
