STU AST- FEDERAL COMMUNITY SERVICE (PEAK Literacy)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver one-on-one Great Leaps intervention sessions with students for approximately three hours each day at assigned sites.
• Serve as the primary liaison between PEAK Literacy and the site staff, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
• Coordinate with volunteers at the site, keeping track of schedules, and managing the flow of student sessions.
• Monitor attendance and progress for all students served at the site, ensuring fidelity to the Great Leaps program.
• Report daily updates and feedback to the PEAK Literacy office, highlighting any challenges or successes.
• Represent PEAK Literacy in a professional and positive manner, fostering strong relationships with staff and families at the site.
• Afterschool program sites across Alachua County.

  • Mornings, approximately 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. (Monday-Thursday) or 

    Afternoons, approximately 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Monday through Thursday). 

    Schedule may vary slightly by site. 

$15/ hour

• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.

• Experience working with children or in an educational or community-based setting. 
• Commitment to multiple semesters preferred.
