Job Description: |
Evaluates equipment, components, and software for use in moderately complex audio-visual spaces. Collaborates with other service teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex audio-visual problems and identify areas for process improvement. Provides quality assurance for end user hardware configurations and operating system images. Responds to tier two audio visual queue in a timely fashion and escalates to tier three to collaborate within Educational Technologies and with other service teams to resolve issues. Follows up with customers and vendors to ensure smooth operations. May serve as on-call support as needed.
Coordinates video conference sessions. Serves as a technical facilitator for video conference sessions ensuring equipment and space is prepared for learning and communication. Live stream and record learning sessions and monitor, edit and post results. May develop and design requirements and prototypes for improving video conference service.
Coordinates with and advises faculty and staff on projects related to audio visual and classroom computer equipment. Creates graphical or interactive training resources and related documentation as instruction and guidance for faculty and staff who need assistance in becoming familiar with audio-visual equipment. Makes suggestions as to presentation software and preparation that needs to take place outside of the classroom that leads to a successful lecture.
Coordinates and advises on projects related to multimedia technologies development for learning space renovation and updates. Represents faculty and staff when considering changes in room technology. Assists with physical implementation and documentation of updates and changes.
Other duties as assigned, including lifting up to 25 Lbs, crawling underneath desks and tables, reaching overhead, using a stepladder, doing work with hands requiring fine muscle control.

$53,000.00

Minimum Requirements: |
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications: |
- Bachelor’s degree and four years of experience.Knowledge of classroom equipment/technologies.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written, American English) are required.
Customer-centric focus.
- Knowledge of current and emerging technologies (e.g. PC desktop common applications, internet and educational technology techniques)
- Ability to work independently and motivated to develop opportunities.
- Ability to organize and manage complex activities and to complete assignments in a timely fashion with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Project management skills.
- Crestron design and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of audio visual, educational technology systems and standards, and project management fundamentals.
- Demonstrated abilities and experience in classroom technology and room automation technology.
- Experience interacting with faculty and staff as well as vendors in sensitive situations.
- Judgment in human relations skills to interface and communicate in an articulate manner with faculty, administrators, and academic personnel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
