Video and Graphic Production
In collaboration with, and under the direction of the Assistant Dean for Messaging and Outreach, the Digital Content Specialist develops engaging content, including videos, animations, and other graphics and promotional materials to market the law school through a variety of platforms, including on our website, social media, digital signage, and targeted email campaigns, among others. The individual ensures accuracy of content, meticulous attention to detail, high quality and professional production of all materials, and adherence to accessibility standards and guidelines.
Written Content Production
As a key member of our dynamic marketing and communications team, the Digital Content Specialist plays a vital role in crafting engaging written content, including compelling stories that highlight the achievements of our students, faculty, and alumni. This individual also ensures accurate captioning and impactful text for our videos and animations and contributes to refining the language across our website. With a keen eye for detail, this individual ensures that all communications are accurate, timely, thoroughly proofed, and aligned with strategic goals.
Email Campaign and Website Management Under the direction of the Assistant Dean for Messaging and Outreach, the Digital Content Specialist is responsible for ensuring timely and effective updates to text, images, videos, forms, and other essential content across our website. In this role, the specialist will create new webpages, manage updates to existing content, and stay informed on best practices to ensure the website remains user-friendly and optimized. This includes maintaining compliance with website accessibility standards, leveraging SEO strategies, and utilizing other optimization tools to enhance site performance. Additionally, the Digital Content Specialist will develop email campaigns using Mailchimp and other marketing platforms.
Evolving Duties
The College of Law is rapidly changing and evolving. All staff members are expected to assist with other duties as needed, including duties throughout the entire law school campus.

Preferred Qualifications: |
Expert knowledge of website development and maintenance, including knowledge and experience with Wordpress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL database. Experience with MailChimp or similar email marketing platforms. Experience with video and audio production.
Knowledge of law schools and the legal profession. Degree in telecommunications, marketing, journalism, graphic design, or a related field.
At least one year of experience with content strategy, SEO best practices, website analytics, accessibility standards, and user experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, proofreading and copy-editing skills, and interpersonal/customer service skills.
Effective time management and organizational skills, with a commitment to meeting deadlines. Excellent planning and project management skills.
Ability to take initiative, accurately establish priorities, complete complex assignments in a timely manner, and adapt quickly to changing needs and conflicting challenges.
Ability to work cooperatively as a team player.
