Are you an experienced project manager with a passion for driving strategic initiatives? The University of Florida's College of Nursing is seeking a dynamic Sr. Project Manager – Strategic Initiatives to join our team!
As the Sr. Project Manager – Strategic Initiatives, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Dean's Office in the implementation of high-impact projects that align with the college's strategic vision. Your exceptional project management skills, coupled with your ability to navigate complex organizational structures, will be instrumental in driving success across a diverse range of initiatives.
Strategic Planning and Project Development
- Collaborate with the Dean and leadership team to support the development, execution, and evaluation of the college’s strategic plan.
- Identify, prioritize, and design projects aligned with the college’s strategic priorities, ensuring a direct impact on clinical, fiscal, and administrative outcomes.
- Develop comprehensive project charters, timelines, and budgets for strategic initiatives
- Define project objectives in collaboration with key stakeholders. Responsible for creating project plans and teamwork assignments, identifying resources, directing and monitoring work efforts, communicating with stakeholders and team members, performing quality reviews, and troubleshooting issues appropriately.
Project Management and Execution
- Manage all phases of complex, high-impact projects, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful project completion while maintaining alignment with strategic goals.
- Use project management tools to track progress, identify risks, and implement solutions to overcome challenges.
- Regularly report on project status, outcomes, and key performance indicators to leadership and stakeholders.
Leadership and Team Management

- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including faculty, staff, clinical partners, and university administrators.
- Facilitate effective communication between project teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and addressing feedback throughout project lifecycles.
- Act as a liaison to the Strategic Initiatives team, ensuring alignment with broader college and university goals.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation
- Lead post-project evaluations to identify successes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and implement innovative strategies to enhance project management processes and ensure alignment with the college’s mission and vision.
