Job Description: |
Candidate will assist in the management of a small-sized rodent colony and laboratory operations, management, and compliance for the PI. The candidate should possess basic knowledge of managing both a rodent colony and a basic science laboratory. Additional preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in animal husbandry and neuroscience experiments, although this is not required. Strong technical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills will be essential. The candidate will assist other lab members with troubleshooting and will be responsible for general lab maintenance (reagent inventory, lab equipment and supplies).
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Perform rodent colony management tasks, such as breeding, genotyping, weaning and ensuring animals are available for experiments
- Assist with ordering supplies and reagents needed by laboratory members to conduct experiments

Expected Salary: |
$46,000.00-$60,500.00
|
Minimum Requirements: |
Bachelor's degree in biology or a related field and three years of experience or Master's degree in biology or a related field with one year of relevant experience.
|
Preferred Qualifications: |
Prior experience in the field of neurobiology and rodent experimentation is preferred
|
