Job Description:

Program Management:

Oversee the administration and daily operations of the Member Services unit. Provides oversight on the sales and operations of memberships. Evaluate equipment needs and develops equipment replacement plans. Create and conduct program assessments. Evaluate and provide oversight and leadership for facility requests and event services for RecSports facilities and University events. Manage Fusion software functions related to spectator passes, security roles, access reports, and device configurations. Promote operating policies and procedures. Enforce University and department policies, procedures, and regulations. In tandem with Associate Director, collaborate with other units within RecSports and on campus to develop and enhance relevant services. Promote services by coordinating with Marketing and provide vision and support for outreach efforts to promote RecSports services, programs, and offerings.

Personnel Management:

Recruit, train, supervise, coach, mentor and evaluate teams exempt, student and other part-time staff within the Member services unit. Plan and facilitate regular staff meetings and training sessions for each assigned area including awareness and compliance with all University policies and procedures. Assist with the development of program training manuals and materials including safety and risk management practices to meet national standards and University policy. In coordination with unit area team and the Talent Management Unit create and implement a comprehensive student development program. Communicate job responsibilities and expectations for professional and student employees.

Financial, Administrative, & Other Duties as Assigned:

Develops and implements a comprehensive budget for the Member Services unit. Monitor budgets throughout the year and assist with quarterly reporting. Assess and analyze data associated with services and programs. Maintain proper inventory records. Prepare and manage bi-weekly payroll and wage schedules and reports. Ensure Risk Management & Safety protocol are utilized appropriately within all assigned responsibilities. Provides feedback to supervisor regarding the safety and/or condition of programs, equipment and facilities; conducts daily observations and/or use said equipment and facilities; immediately documents and addresses all safety concerns. Operates state vehicles in the performance of job duties.

 
Expected Salary:

$53,000 - $63,000 

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience or a master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree; two years of experience in membership sales and service in a recreation setting; ability to understand membership policies and procedures; understanding and willingness to learn the Fusion Recreation Management software; ability to work with minimal supervision, to think laterally and to undertake initiatives; ability to effectively supervise; and is self-motivated, adaptable, a great team player and customer focused.
