Job Duties:
  • Updating the department website 
  • Creating graphics for the department’s social media channels, video boards and website
  • Photography and videography of department events
  • Monitoring news sources for mentions of department faculty and students
Expected Salary:

$15/hour 

Minimum Requirements:

This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and have a valid Federal Work-Study (FWS) permit. Students must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average. Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week. Must have a Federal Work Study work award for Fall 2024 semester.

  •  Demonstrated interest in the communications field and scientific research
  • Experience with (or the desire to learn): website maintenance using a content management system (CMS)
  • Basic graphic design experience
  • Videography and video editing experience
  • Photography and photo editing experience (may require local travel in state vehicle)
  • Confident with verbal and written communication
  • Possess strong organization skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Valid Driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication, organization and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data accuracy and integrity
  • Possess effective organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, ability to prioritize assignments to meet deadlines
