Job Description:

Educational Training Program Development and Management 

  • Builds and manages a robust training program by identifying, recruiting, training, and supporting staff in developing, executing, and revising training. 
  • Leads the design and implementation of an employee training program to ensure employees acquire the necessary knowledge, skills, and behaviors to become effective organizational members.
  • Oversees and delivers training programs for the Division to enhance the skills and knowledge of current employees.
  • Ensure talent programs and curricula are aligned to the overall Divisional mission, vision, and strategic plan.
  • Implements employee professional development initiatives that enable employees to connect, upskill, retool, and continually improve.
  • Elevates and highlights departmental best practices and integrates scalable offerings into divisional standards.
  • Develops tools, resources, and professional expectations to support staff engagement, career progression, occupational wellness, and operational excellence.
  • Stay informed on trends and innovations in education and training to maintain UF’s leadership in staff development.
  • Partners with others to highlight metrics of success for education and training programs.

Employee Engagement Initiatives 

  • Develops and partners with internal stakeholders (e.g., SMEs, department heads, leadership) and external entities (e.g., consultants, associations, vendors) to design and implement employee engagement initiatives that enhance retention and align with institutional goals. 
  • Partners with campus stakeholders (e.g., HR, IT) to create centralized resources, support team building, and drive continuous improvement through data-driven evaluation, benchmarking, and collaboration. 
  • Participates in strategic planning with leadership team and facilitates events and activities that align with the Division’s strategic goals and priorities. 
  • Enhances communication and connection across departments to strengthen the divisional culture. 

Resource and Template Development 

  • Creates standardized templates for divisional unit use to support shared messaging for employee recruitment, onboarding, and professional development. 
  • Tailors resources to support broader alignment with institutional priorities. 
  • Establishes and maintains a resource hub of training and data records that are accessible and meet the varied needs of employee types and experiences. 

 
Program Evaluation and Continuous Learning

  • Establishes metrics to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of training and engagement programs. 
  • Use data and feedback to refine initiatives and ensure alignment with divisional strategic priorities. 
  • Benchmark and develop relationships with similar education and training programs to learn, implement, and evaluate best practices and promote alignment. 
Expected Salary: $75,000 - $80,000
Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience. 

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in human resources, training facilitation, program development, and/or management and tracking, with a proven record of designing and delivering effective learning content that drives measurable results.  
  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and facilitation skills, with a customer-focused approach and the ability to foster and maintain productive working relationships with key partners. 
  • Demonstrated success in working with broad stakeholders, including project management experience and the ability to lead, influence, and motivate others in a data-driven environment. 
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail, creativity, and a sense of urgency in delivering high-quality programs. 
  • Proven ability to learn and master technical applications and utilize them effectively in training and development contexts. 
  • Experience in higher education or similar settings, with an understanding of professional development and engagement needs in this environment. 
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and interact effectively with a broad community. 
  • A history of working in a collaborative and collegial environment with a team-oriented approach to achieving shared goals. 
  • A high level of discretion and judgment in handling confidential information, along with a customer service-oriented attitude. 
  • Commitment to accuracy, attention to detail, and continuous improvement in processes and outcomes.
