Job Description:

The University of Florida, College of Medicine, Department of Community Health and Family Medicine is seeking a full-time Assistant/Associate/Full Professor to join the Eastside Community Practice faculty team. This position will provide direct patient care to a largely under-served and diverse population in a team-based setting working with UF medical students. Providers with a passion for the under-served patient population are encouraged to apply. Rank will be commensurate with qualifications. 

Full-time is strongly preferred; however, part-time may be considered depending on the needs of the clinic and applicants.

Clinical Duties:

This position is responsible for delivering primary health care at the UF Health Family Medicine Eastside Community Clinic, serving a diverse patient population. You’ll be part of a collaborative healthcare team that includes dedicated staff, nurses, an RN health coach, and a pharmacist. The role involves providing direct patient care in the clinic, with the opportunity to participate in inpatient and/or clinic call rotations based on the interests of the selected candidate and the department’s needs. Additionally, you may take on a supervisory role, working closely with ARNPs/PAs to provide team-based care using innovative models.

Educational Activities:

Teaching medical students during patient care activities, and/or during educational conferences is expected. Our department encourages scholarly activity and professional development as to advance our faculty, department and discipline. Experienced and accomplished mentors are available to assist as well as departmental support to present and publish your work as well as provide experiences for your professional development.

Minimum Requirements:

An M.D. or D.O. degree (or equivalent), board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, and a current Florida medical license (or eligibility) are required. Experience with Electronic Health Record (E.H.R.) systems is also essential.
