Classification Title:

Academic Program Specialist II (Working title: Study Abroad Program Coordinator II)

 

Independently collaborates with 3rd party providers in the process of renewing study abroad program contracts. Provides holistic review of contractual language including but not limited to: indemnity, liability, payment terms, governing law, force majeure, and other items as required for compliance with regulations. Negotiates adjustments to contracts on behalf of UFIC. Responsible for a portfolio of specific colleges (as assigned and subject to change).

Advises faculty on program modifications, recruitment, enrollment and application system support. Utilizes independent judgment to guide faculty through appropriate programmatic changes that fall within the purview of a program renewal. Identifies conflicts with existing UFIC study abroad policies and engages faculty with mechanisms for remedies as appropriate.

Independently works with faculty on program improvement through analysis of program evaluations and return meetings after program completion.

Updates faculty resources, webpages, and faculty enrollment materials. Participates in faculty trainings and workshops.

Other duties as assigned.

Expected Salary:

$55,000 - $57,000 annually

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

EDUCATION & TRAINING: Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization

EXPERIENCE
- Two (2) years appropriate experience in higher education or an education abroad setting
- One (1) year experience with the development or renewal of faculty-led programs
- International experience (living, studying, teaching abroad)

KNOWLEDGE:
-Knowledge of a second language
-Knowledge of best practices in Education Abroad
-Familiarity with Terra Dotta Software, Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat

SKILLS:
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills; effective interpersonal and problem-solving skills
-Experience developing presentations and speaking publicly

ABILITIES
-Demonstrated ability to work well in a team setting and with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
