- Commitment Calculation – This position is primarily responsible for reviewing UFIRST Award Notices by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting the agencies’ rules and guidelines to determine whether the appropriate effort commitment is being made by the Principal Investigator to specific agencies. This includes reading and understanding agency rules and guidelines related to effort reporting. Knowledge of mathematical concepts and ability to apply these to calculations. Understands the issues related to the decision-making process; demonstrates the ability to analyze situations fully and accurately and reach productive decisions. Maintains working knowledge of over the cap requirements from federal and non-federal sponsored agencies.
- This position will be required to enter new commitment calculations based on the information derived from the UFIRST system and agreement documentation. In adjusting reviewing and adjusting commitments over the life of a sponsored program project as new changes are implemented. Position must correct any errors that arise from commitment input. Position must have an understating of the necessity and value of accuracy and attention to detail; ability to process information with high levels of accuracy. Recommending upgrades to processes and procedures for commitments and collaborate with IT staff on improvements of commitment data entry and collection.
- This position will provide assistance with MYUFL commitment questions from all departments on campus. Ensures effective relationships with customers and delivers exceptional customer service. Elevates issues appropriately and ensures timely resolution.
- Assists with Effort Reporting questions and analysis as needed.

Expected Salary: |
$55,000 - $60,000

Minimum Requirements: |
A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization.

Preferred Qualifications: |
This position must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
Ability to work and maintain effective working relationships with others; to understand, interpret, and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures; to effectively communicate in writing and orally; to complete work according to scheduled deadlines; to work with limited supervision; to utilize problem solving techniques and to work independently.
