The AV Design and Installation Services team designs, installs, programs, and supports AV systems for any UF college or department. AV systems are designed to customer needs and can range from simple digital signage or conference rooms to more complex curved video walls or broadcast-quality videoconferencing recording studios.
The Operations Assistant position leverages business operations skills and technical knowledge to enable the work of AV Design and Installation Services across campus. This position is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to be part of a team that is providing tangible contributions to the University of Florida.
Some key responsibilities and characteristics of this position are:
- Facilitate the acquisition of equipment needed for AV Installation projects
- Assist with AV project pricing and closeout
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of purchasing contracts for AV equipment
- Participate in project planning and scheduling
- Track equipment inventory to ensure necessary equipment is in stock to complete projects

Benefits
Full-time TEAMS employees accrue vacation leave at a rate of 6.769 hours biweekly/22 days annually and sick leave at 4 hours biweekly/13 days annually. In addition, employees are eligible for ten paid holidays each year.
Vacation-accruing TEAMS employees are eligible for four personal leave days/32 hours per year, assuming full-time status. These leave days may allow units to close from December 26 to 31, when possible, determined on a unit-by-unit basis.
