Job Description: |

Provides substance abuse counseling through individual, family, and group
therapy, including behavioral therapy, prevention and support to reduce
addiction.

Participates in developing appropriate developmental outcomes and strategies as
part of the multidisciplinary team.

Performs Psychosocial Evaluations/Assessments for all assigned patients on
caseloads.

Designs and implements individual treatment plans, provides a range of clinical
and advocacy services to family members that are consistent with the family’s
values, learning styles, lifestyle, circumstances and culture. Collaborates with
family members and referents in developing intervention goals and service plans.

Routinely attends mandatory staff and Division meetings, Grand Rounds and
other necessary trainings to maintain level of current expertise.

Ensures compliance with organizational policies and procedures, state and
federal regulatory requirements including OSHA, Infection Control, CLIA, HIPAA,
UF Disclosure Tracking System, Medicaid Guidelines and general safety.

Participates in Quality Improvement programs (Clinical Effectiveness Group).

Maintains a caseload of 50 plus patients and maintains at least 30 weekly units.

Complete required documents for weekly billings within 48 hours.

Minimum Requirements: |
Master's or Doctoral degree or in social work, psychology, mental health counseling, or related field. All State of Florida requirements met for a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), with two years post-degree supervised experience.

Preferred Qualifications: |
- At least 3 years of substance abuse services in an Inpatient substance abuse unit or Community Based Outpatient Setting.
- Knowledge of the policies and procedures of Community Behavioral Health Services. Prior experience with pediatric and/or adult patients.
- Working knowledge of HMO's, Medicare, Medicaid, PPO, and third-party payors. Working knowledge of computers and computer software such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written English skills. Must be eligible for a Medicaid Provider Number.
