Job Description: The student assistant provides key support in managing knowledge bases associated with programs, products, and course offerings supported by the Advising and Learner Support team. This role includes attending Literacy Matrix and Literacy Micro-Credential meetings, updating Literacy-products-related SOPs and knowledge bases, and supporting the Advising and Learner Support team by updating canned responses and templates in systems such as Excel and Salesforce. The Student Assistant will focus on managing information from the Literacy Matrix and Literacy Micro-Credential components, occasionally supporting the Literacy Coaching courses, ensuring course materials are accessible, relevant, and up-to-date. This role is essential to the smooth operation of program-, product-, and course-related tasks and enhances the quality and consistency of support materials for users.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

SOP and Content Updates:

  • Updates Literacy SOPs and knowledge bases, ensuring documentation remains current and accessible.
  • Assists with maintaining canned responses and template updates in Excel and Salesforce to ensure accurate information is available for support agents.

Collaboration with Higher Level Associates:

  • Works closely with the Tier II Agents and Lastinger Associates to support program, product, and course management initiatives.
  • Ensures alignment with best practices in content management and updates.

Tier I Agent

  • Working on Freshdesk responding to tickets as needed
  • Have the option of have 1 scheduled shift on the calendar

Course Management and Literacy Support:

  • Attends Literacy program meetings, including matrix and micro-credential discussions, and provides input on program-, product-, and course-related updates. This information will inform their SOPs, knowledge bases, canned responses, and impact the updates agents receive daily.
  • Attend Literacy Coaching meetings as needed.

Other Duties as Assigned

Assigned hours within Monday-Friday, with occasional flexibility to attend meetings or assist with
urgent updates.

Expected Salary:

$15.00/ hour

Minimum Requirements:
  • This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS) and must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average. Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in educational course management or support roles.
  • Proficiency in using Excel or other content management tools.
  • Currently enrolled as a student, preferably in a field related to Education, Information Science, or Communications.
  • Experience with documentation management or content support.
