Job Description: |
Post Award Management & Reporting: The employee will work closely with other departmental RA’s and the faculty/PIs to assist within established procedures award management and daily monitoring of post award activities, including but not limited to: budget transfers, incremental funding releases, budget modifications and adjustments, subaward monitoring, no cost extensions, cost transfers, non-financial report submissions, etc.
Payroll/Effort Management: Assist with entering payroll distributions and effort reporting in collaboration with other departmental RA’s.
Pre-Award Administration: Aid in preparing proposals by gathering required documents, entering information into systems, uploading documents and tracking of various documentation.
Electronic Filing:
Manage and organize emails from a shared inbox, ensuring emails are directed to the appropriate individual and electronically filed and organized.
Other duties: As the incumbent develops necessary skills and obtains knowledge of research administration guidelines, other duties might include approving reimbursements, requisitions, travel and PCard expenses charged to sponsored accounts, including verifying that expenses adhere to UF policies, award terms and federal regulations with special attention to allowability, allocability, reasonableness and consistency with award objectives. The employee may also be assigned other tasks as needed related to the management of sponsored research.

Minimum Requirements: |
High school diploma and four years of relevant experience or equivalent college coursework in place of experience.

- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing with faculty and staff.
- Ability to understand and utilize problem solving techniques Makes decisions based upon established processes where deviations require prior approval.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal departments and colleagues.
- Professional code of conduct becoming of a public employee.
- Ability to work independently for tasks with established procedures and most will include direct oversight.
- Ability to use good judgment to set priorities with direct feedback from supervisor(s).
- Proficiency in all office applications necessary for efficient execution of their duties. This includes at a minimum, PeopleSoft, Adobe applications, email clients, and Microsoft suite of applications like Excel and Word.
