Provide advising support for designated student programming organizations and committees.
- Advise Student Government Productions and ACCENT Speaker’s Bureau in the planning and production of large-scale concerts and lectures on-campus with attendees ranging from 500-15,000 UF students and community members.
- Advise GatorNights, Signature Events, and campus traditions as needed with the support of the Campus Events & Traditions team.
- Advise other designated student organizations and committees in the development and implementation of social and educational programs such as concerts, lectures, films, and special events for UF students.
- Serve as staff advisor to designated major campus-wide events as assigned (e.g., Homecoming Parade, Gator Growl, and Great Gator Welcome).
- Handle all aspects of the performer contract process (contract negotiation, contract preparation, and contract management) in excess of $1,000,000.00 annually.
- Advise student leaders in all aspects of event programming including but not limited to idea development, budgeting, planning, advertising and promotion, program implementation, and program evaluation.
- Interpret university policies for students and student organizations relating to the management of programs, contracts, safety, liability and risk management, and fiscal management.
Assist the Office of Campus Engagement in its efforts to provide support, advising, training, and oversight to ensure effective and comprehensive campus programs, events, and traditions at UF.
- Lead the office initiative to develop and support large scale campus events and traditions through the Signature Events program.
- Serve as a resource for event planning and management for students, staff, and faculty as needed.
- Assist with budget planning, monitoring, and reporting for events.
- Assist in developing and maintaining collaborative relationships in programming efforts with other UF departments, including academic departments.
Assist with administrative functions of the Office of Campus Engagement, including the areas Campus Events and Traditions and Student Government Advising & Operations.
- Serve as the lead for the Campus Events & Traditions functional area within the Office of Campus Engagement and will support Campus Engagement areas in the absence of the Director.
- Develop, conduct, and analyze research and assessments for various programs and services of the Office of Campus Engagement including but not limited to programming needs assessment, effectiveness of programs and services including outcomes assessment and student satisfaction.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of a comprehensive marketing and promotions strategy for the services and programs of the Office of Campus Engagement.
- Advise and assist the Director of Campus Engagement in strategic planning and in meeting the service and educational objectives of the unit.
- Assist with budget planning and reporting. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ensure proper procedures, controls, and financial guidelines for all areas including organization expenditures.
- Provide supervision, training, and support for the Campus Events and Traditions Assistant Director and Program Coordinator.
Contributes to the Division and University through active participation on committees and division-wide initiatives (example opportunities: emergency dean on call, event support team, conduct committee, student welcome events, etc); and, other duties as assigned. Driving to various locations is required.
