Job Description:

Strategy and Leadership for Service & Volunteer Programs

· Lead the strategy and implementation for community engagement and service initiatives

· Serve as the primary liaison for community partners, providing guidance and support

· Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration

· Oversee volunteer programs and community initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic goals

· Develop and implement a comprehensive community engagement strategy

· Ensure that students have a variety of modalities to engage with service

· Oversee recruitment of students to fill volunteer opportunities

· Increase volunteer participation and engagement in community service projects

Community Partner Identification, Cultivation, and Communication

· Identify and cultivate relationships with community partners locally, statewide, regionally, and nationally

· Acknowledgement of partners in digital media and publications

· Coordinate communications to community partners

· Craft personalized gratitude strategy for individual partners based on levels of engagement

· Distribute annual report to community partners

· Coordinate assessment and evaluation with host sites to get feedback for improvement of community relationships

· Work with community partners to get volunteer opportunities posted to our database and help in the recruitment of students

· Lead the bulk of the community partner case load

Service Program Coordination and Signature Programs

· Coordinate Days of Service in collaboration with community partners including: MLK Day, 9/11, Earth Day, National Volunteer Month, Homecoming

· Coordinate with staff to ensure logistics are in order for host sites and service projects

· Coordinate Alumni Day of Service in collaboration with UF Alumni Association

· Oversee the planning, implementation, and assessment of signature programs within the Brown Center for Leadership & Service

· Serve as general lead for all volunteer and service programs, including student recruitment, volunteer management, and site logistics

Risk Management, Evaluation, and Supervision

· Assist with risk management related to service sites

· Coordinate student waiver processes for programs

· Facilitate community partner verification and vetting processes

· Supervision of Coordinator for Immersive Service Programs

· Supervision of student employees

Administrative and Reporting Tasks

· Assist with assigned portion of area budget and track expenditures related to responsibilities

· Support with the development and implementation of evaluation and assessment of area

· Assist with the development, implementation, and goal setting for the department

· Serve in the absence of the Director

· Ensure regular data tracking and reporting

· Supervise student employees

· Performs other duties as assigned by the Director or other appropriate administrator.

Expected Salary:

$62,000

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree in appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience or a bachelor’s degree in appropriate areas of specialization and four years of experience.
